Join a board with expertise across governance, early learning education and care, accounting, law, audit and risk management, and property development.
Being a part of our Board offers skilled and motivated women the opportunity contribute to a leading global women’s organisation and share their expertise in governance and leadership.
This year, there are up to four board vacancies. Per our Constitution, at least two of the elected Board Directors must be a young woman* aged under 30 years at the time of election.
To be eligible for a board nomination, you must be a current financial or life member of YWCA Canberra as of Saturday, 12 September 2026. Unfortunately, Associate Members are not eligible.
Successful candidates will be announced at our Annual General Meeting on Monday, 2 November.

This year, the position of Treasurer is open for nominations. To be eligible for this position, you must be a current Director or submit both a Director Nomination and an Office-Bearer Nomination Form.
If you are not a current Director, your nomination for an Office Bearer role will only be valid if you are elected to the Board.
