12 Days of Giving for the YWCA Canberra Clubhouse

The YWCA Canberra Clubhouse provides young people with a unique opportunity to experience industry standard technologies, participate in STEAM activities and work alongside adult mentors, ultimately developing the skills and attributes necessary to create a brighter future.

But our Clubhouse needs more than just equipment to run.

We need qualified people to engage, encourage and inspire our young people to be the best that they can be.

Through the power of your generosity and in the spirit of equality, help us uphold the Clubhouse, and continue to work towards bridging the digital divide in Canberra.

It’s not just about making a donation – it’s about making a difference.”– Kathy Calvin (Chief Executive Officer of the United Nations Foundation)

Your donation could help us to provide industry professionals to:

  • Foster creativity and design skills including drawing, origami, painting and paper craft.
  • Develop engineering skills by building and furnishing houses using Planner5D and then viewing them in virtual reality with Google Cardboard
  • Teach Clubhouse members how to record and edit videos using Adobe Premier and Adobe AfterEffects.
  • Develop Clubhouse members’ coding skills using Scratch, a free visual programming language developed by the MIT Media Lab.
  • Support Clubhouse members across a range of other projects such as music production, 3D printing, robotics, coding, digital design, photography and video production and much more.

The 12 Days of Giving appeal is now closed, but you can still support our Clubhouse via our Donations page.
