Anti-Poverty Week 2014

Anti-Poverty Week is a week where all Australians are encouraged to organise or take part in an activity aiming to highlight or overcome issues of poverty and hardship here in Australia or overseas. It was established in Australia as an expansion of the UN’s annual International Anti-Poverty Day on October 17.  In 2014 Anti Poverty Week is taking place from the 12th to the 18th of October.

YWCA Canberra is supporting Anti-Poverty Week 2014 by contributing to the diverse range of events and activities taking place during the week. Executive Director, Frances Crimmins is Co-Chair for the ACT, alongside Paul Tresize, CEO of St Vincent De Paul Canberra and Goulburn.

Visit the Anti-Poverty Week website for more information, and to view the calendar of activities for 2014.
