YWCA Canberra’s 2023 Our Lives: women in the ACT Survey is open to women and non-binary people aged 16+ who live, work, or study in Canberra and the surrounding region.
By doing the survey you will help us better understand the needs of our community, and to tell the stories of women and non-binary peoples’ experiences in Canberra.
The responses from our previous surveys have had a long-lasting influence on our work by providing valuable insights into Canberra girls and women’s perceptions of their personal safety, paid and unpaid work, cost-of-living, and current housing arrangements.

YWCA Canberra’s survey of women in the ACT is a biannual survey of women’s experiences and needs living in Canberra.
The 2019 and 2021 surveys had more than 1000 people completing each survey. The responses have been integral to our advocacy and policy agenda, to deliver on our vision of girls and women thriving.
People who take the survey can also choose to enter the draw to win future incentive prizes.
