Notice is given that the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the members of YWCA Canberra will be held as follows:
Date: Monday 2 November 2020
Time: 4.30pm AEDT for a 5pm start
Venue: Due to the limitations on meetings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to keep our community safe, we are holding this meeting as a virtual event via Zoom. All current members will be sent an email with a link to access the event.
All correspondence regarding the AGM will be done via email. Please ensure you have provided us with your current email address. If you have not received your invitation by 15 October, please check your spam filters. If you still do not have your invitation, email firstname.lastname@example.org
As per our constitution, this event is for financial and honorary life members of YWCA Canberra, whose membership was current as of 4 October 2020. If you are uncertain on whether you are a current member, please email Leah Dwyer.
Due to the nature of virtual meetings, we invite written questions from members in advance of the AGM. The Chair will seek to address as many of the questions as possible during the AGM. Members who would like to submit questions in advance of the AGM can do so by emailing email@example.com by COB Friday 30 October 2020.
Please connect to the Zoom meeting 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time, to ensure that any connection issues can be resolved in advance, as well as any video and microphone/audio issues. This is to ensure that the meeting can start at the scheduled time.
Unlike previous years, voting for YWCA Canberra Board Directors will be done before the AGM. Members will receive separate communication about this process. This will come from CorpVote, which is managing the voting process on behalf of YWCA Canberra to ensure all legislative and constitutional requirements are met.

The election result will be announced at the AGM.
