The annual She Leads Conference in 2023 will be celebrating the disruptors, the challengers and the leaders!
As we continue to make gains toward a more equitable country when it comes to gender, we must acknowledge that advancing feminism means embracing leadership that disrupts the systems that drive inequality. It’s time to truly listen to those who have the courage to speak about their lived experiences, challenge the status quo and ignite the difficult conversations we need to have.
With allyship and solidarity comes the strength we need to disrupt systems, challenge biases and lead change, to reach genuine equality.
The She Leads Conference will be held at the National Convention Centre Canberra on Friday, 4 August. We will be announcing speakers soon.
Due to the ongoing generosity of two of our YWCA Canberra donors, we are delighted to announce for another year running, the exciting opportunity for four people to attend the 2023 She Leads Conference free of charge, under our scholarship program.
We would like to acknowledge with deep gratitude the Burridge family, and YWCA Canberra Life Member, Betty Ferguson for providing these scholarships to enable those who may not be able to otherwise attend such a leadership event.
These unique scholarships allow the successful recipients to attend this year’s conference – ‘Disrupt : Celebrating the disruptors, the challengers, the leaders’ on Friday, 4 August.
Please see details below to apply. The scholarship includes a free ticket to the all-day conference and an opportunity to meet keynote speakers and panellists featuring on the day.
Each year, the Jacq Burridge Scholarships are generously donated by the Burridge family in honour of Life Member of YWCA Canberra, Jacq Burridge.
