Active Bystander Workshops

Do you work in a client-facing small or medium business in Canberra? You could get free training on using bystander approaches to prevent violence against women, to empower your staff and support you to foster a workplace culture of equality and respect.

Bystander approaches are positive ways people can intervene in violence, harassment or other anti-social behaviour they observe or know of, to prevent and reduce harm to others. These approaches can help deter destructive workplace behaviours, including workplace bullying, and reduce the likelihood of a hostile work environment where sexual harassment takes place.

YWCA Canberra, with support of ACT Government, is inviting Canberra-based employers to participate in this training opportunity.

Free training sessions will be held on the:

  • 25 February 2020, 9am to 12.30pm
  • 5 March 2020, 1pm to 4.30 pm
  • 31 March 2020, 9am to 12.30pm.

The sessions will be held in our training rooms on Level 3, YWCA Canberra, 71 Northbourne Avenue.

We can also tailor a time to suit your organisation.
