Creating your strategic vision with Trish Bergin

  • Do you have a vision for something you want to create, but not sure where to start?
  • Maybe you’re looking to start a business, but haven’t had the time to get clear on the path ahead.
  • Does your team know where the business is heading and how you will get there? Or are they simply coming into work, getting their job done for the day and heading home? 

We believe EVERY woman can make change, and our May workshop is here to help you identify and map out key strategic priorities to drive your success. Having a clear plan or strategy for your cause and implementing it well, can make all the difference to your future success. 

For our May She Leads Workshop, join Trish Bergin on Tuesday 18 May as she presents effective strategies to lead your cause, build your business, or strengthen your team’s outputs. 

This workshop will cover topics such as  

  • starting with the end in mind – what the vision is for your idea (developing a bold but achievable vision for your cause) 
  • how to create your strategic plan – walk away with a plan on exactly you need to do in order to grow your idea. 
  • how to implement your plan to get traction. 

This strategy workshop is for you and your team if: 

  1. you’re looking to grow your idea or business in a sustainable way 
  2. you’re looking to set a clear plan for your idea to help understand what your key priorities are 
  3. you would like to have more clarity and alignment with everyone in the team 
  4. you would like to be able to help your team understand the strategic direction of your cause 
  5. you don’t have a clear vision, which is making it difficult to make decisions 
  6. there are opportunities for your growth but it’s unclear whether they should be pursued or not 
  7. you’ve successfully grown your idea to its current level and feel like you’ve hit a bit of a ceiling 
  8. you’re looking for some support to create a clear strategy moving forward.

Trish Bergin is the Co-Director, Governance of the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation and Chair of the Women’s Legal Centre, ACT and Regions.  

Trish has held Senior Executive Band 2 positions with the Australian Public Service, most recently leading the Office for Women in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. She has also worked at the Senior Executive Service (SES) level within other Commonwealth portfolios, including the Finance, Education and Employment portfolios. In the private sector, she held General Manager and Regional Director level positions with listed companies such as SMS Management & Technology and Hudson Global Resources in Canberra. For 11 years Trish ran her own thriving small business, working with clients to implement organisational strategy, facilitate change and facilitating leadership development programs. She has also held Board positions in the not-for-profit sector. Trish holds academic qualifications in economics, management and leadership.
