YWCA Canberra is hosting our fifth annual prom for LGBTQIA+ young people across Canberra and their allies. To ensure this event is completely free and accessible for young people, we are asking the community to help us by sponsoring a ticket!

The LGBTQIA+ & Allies Prom is an opportunity for young people age 12 to 25 to experience a formal-style event and express their identity in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.

After the year that has been, our young people need this more than ever! For many, this will be their first time to connect and enjoy in over six months.

Last year, through the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to ensure that all young people were able to attend the prom free of charge. We want to do this again!

If you have any questions about the LGBTQIA+ & Allies Prom, contact YWCA Canberra Youth Programs Team Leader, Ciára Duggan.

Thank you for generously helping a young person come to the LGBTQIA+ & Allies Prom! Tickets are $60 each and include a formal sit-down dinner, activities and entertainment.

If you can’t afford the full $60, you can cover half or part of a ticket, with $30 and $20 options. It all counts!

Please note that our automated ticketing function will ask you for information such as dietary concerns when you sponsor the ticket. Please don’t worry about including accurate details.

If you have organised a fundraising event and would like to donate a different amount to the LGBTQIA+ Allies Prom, please contact YWCA Canberra Youth Programs Team Leader, Ciára Duggan.

Due to the high levels of interest and the need to limit numbers to remain COVID-safe, we have reached our maximum capacity for the 2020 YWCA Canberra LGTBQIA+ & Allies Prom and closed registrations to attend.

We hope to make this event bigger next year so we can help even more young people have an excellent night.
