Don’t let your busy schedule get in the way of your leadership potential

At YWCA Canberra, we want to empower you to be a values-based leader who creates positive outcomes through sharing, consensus and strong relationships.

But with how busy our lives are currently, it can be difficult to get time for your own professional development. That’s why our She Leads Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420) is set over twelve months with one contact day a month (excluding January), so you can fit it around your existing home and work obligations. And if you are currently employed, you might be eligible to do the She Leads Diploma as a traineeship through your workplace.

The She Leads Diploma builds upon a traditional Diploma of Leadership and Management by acknowledging and addressing the perspectives, challenges and opportunities for women and non-binary people in leadership.

It recognises that women and non-binary people lead differently, and that there is no one way of leading, and no one place to be a leader. So whether you’re looking to be a leader at work, in the community or at home, you can discover your authentic leadership style with the She Leads Diploma.

Through the course, you will have the opportunity to gain the best-practice skills, theoretical knowledge, and networks to accelerate your leadership journey, in a safe and supportive environment.

With exciting and enlightening panels and experienced facilitators, you will learn your own authentic leadership style, which will set you up for success in whatever sector or role you want to pursue.

Previous participants have said the course gave them the knowledge and confidence to achieve both their personal and professional goals, as well as giving them a network of women leaders to draw upon for further experience.

Our next intake starts on 15 February 2022.
