Meet a staff member – Catherine Jones

25 June 2019

At YWCA Canberra, we are proud of the vibrancy and diversity of our staff. As a regular feature on our blog, we’ll be bringing you staff snapshots so you can meet our team and find out a bit more about the people behind our programs and services. Today, meet Catherine Jones.

Tell us about your role at YWCA Canberra.

I am the Network Coordinator for the Tuggeranong region at the Mura Lanyon Youth and Community Centre. I am focused on identifying unmet need and service delivery gaps that effect children, young people and their families, and then working towards a solution utilising a collaborative practice and community development approach.

Don’t have one. However, my favourite quote is from Marilyn Monroe, “I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”
