About the Role:

YWCA Canberra operates Early Childhood Education and Care Centres, School Aged Care Services and Family Day Care around Canberra and the region. The Children’s Services Account Manager reports to the Executive Director of Children’s Services and is responsible for the management and administration of all Children’s Services account information and payments for our services.

This full-time role will lead a team, manage and oversight:

  • all processing of all Children’s Services accounts and relevant information for School Age Care, FDC and Early Childhood Services.
  • daily banking reconciliations and fee collection
  • information sharing, customer service delivery and communication between Program Managers, families, external agencies, and the organisation.
  • daily administration tasks in relation to Children’s Services workload
  • fortnight account invoicing and administration of Government subsidies for families.
  • Facilitating and decision making in respect to parent enquiries while keeping within operational
  • Debt management processes within the team.
  • Submission of Inclusion Support Claims.
  • The administration of Government Funded Childcare Programs such as 3-Year-Old Initiative (ACT Government) and Start Strong (NSW Government).
  • Emergency Care (Children’s Services Program) placement, funding, and weekly reporting while assisting with exit plans for vulnerable families.

About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in an accounts receivable environment.
  • Sound understanding and practical experience of Children Services account system or a willingness to undertake necessary training in this field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer-based programs, including systems for processing Children Services accounts (e.g. QikKids) and Microsoft suite or be willing to undertake necessary training to acquire this knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial and statistical records for diverse users (families, management, external reporting to government departments).
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills across a diverse range of people, including management, clients, and the public.
  • Desire and ability to work co-operatively in a team.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to cope with variety and workplace challenges.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality.
