YWCA Canberra’s Children’s Services Quality Support Unit is looking for a dynamic person who is innovative in their practice and is meticulous in their arrangement and organizational skills to take on the role of Roster Clerk for our school age care suite of programs.
We are looking for a warm and confident communicator with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude. This individual will have an understanding of, or willing to obtain a working knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS). We require an individual who can think on their feet and learn quickly to understand the staffing requirements in an Education and Care Setting. We want someone who enjoys the challenge of a complex, responsible and fast paced role.
The suitable applicant will work within a team of dedicated Quality Support Officers and School Age Care Managers to ensure all 12 of our School Age Care Services are compliant and adequately staffed, adhering to the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. You will work closely with the Quality Support Unit and Human Resources to help recruit quality educators for our Services.
What’s in it for you
You will provide the weekly rosters for 11 of our 12 School Age Care Services using the Easy Employer online system for creating rosters. You will use the same Easy Employer system to approve timesheets, with attention to detail and precision, so that our staff are paid correctly. You will be a people person – liaising with educators, program managers and quality support officers to ensure that Services are compliant. You will communicate with 100+ educators, which may include during outside business hours. You understand when to problem solve and sort out complex staffing arrangements and configurations yourself and when to escalate it to your managers.
