About our Centre / Service:

YWCA Canberra operates six Early Childhood Education and Care services across Canberra and the region. Our Fairley Early Childhood Service is a 115-place state of the art centre, located in the heart of Murrumbateman approximately 25 minutes from Canberra CBD.

We are looking for a Diploma Qualified Lead Educator with experience in the sector, who is keen to progress their career in early childhood education and care. The ideal candidate would be able demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, manage a team of educators and provide innovative and engaging learning opportunities to children and be eager to engage with our local community.

About You:

This position is suitable for you if you hold the following:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • A strong working knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
  • Understanding the current Early Childhood practices and principles that are informed by the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Understanding of Child Protection legislation and Mandatory Reporting requirements for ACT/NSW.
  • You are committed to providing high quality education and care to children.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, and a warm and friendly nature.
  • Experience in maintaining a safe workplace and working within a compliance framework.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable people card / NSW Working with Children’s check and Police check or ability to obtain.
  • Current first aid/asthma/anaphylaxis training or ability to obtain.
  • Current driving license and transport.
