About the Role:

What you will do

  • Work in a collaborative team of likeminded professionals who are responsible for the overall management of six early learning centres.
  • Perform a vital role ensuring services develop and implement innovative, high performing business models within a competitive market.
  • Provide support and training to Centre Director’s, Educational Leaders, Early Childhood Teachers to ensure the safety, care and welfare of the children and their families.
  • Assist the Executive Director of Children’s Services with the future development and strategic direction of early childhood services for YWCA Canberra.
  • Review, develop, and implement best practice frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure high quality service delivery.

About You:

What professional skills and knowledge you require

Essential:

  • Diploma in Children’s Services.
  • Previous experience in an early childhood service management position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NQS, NQF, EYLF along with other related legislation.
  • Excellent leadership, people and time management skills.
  • Good understanding of human resource and financial management.

Desirable:

  • A Degree in Early Childhood Education or working towards, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or, Tertiary qualifications in business or another relevant field.
  • Previous experience as a Director or Area Manager overseeing and supporting multiple services.
