About the role

Our Winyu Early Childhood Service is excited to offer an opportunity for an entry-level trainee position on a 14-month fixed-term contract. YWCA Canberra is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 1373) and can support the successful applicant to study the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care while being paid.

Early Childhood Trainee Educators are responsible for actively working towards obtaining their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care while working as part of an early childhood service’s team at Winyu Early Childhood Service.

About You:

You will:

  • have an open, positive, and can-do attitude
  • be passionate and enthusiastic to work with children and assist in providing a high-quality education and care program
  • be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • have a commitment to continuous improvement
  • have great written and verbal communication skills
  • hold a current Working with Vulnerable Card and Police check
  • have current First Aid/Asthma Anaphylaxis training or the ability to undertake same.
