About the Role:

We are looking for a Lead Educator with a passion for caring for young children, for our YWCA Campbell Cottage. The service is licensed for 66 children and located in Campbell.  The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for children overall from ages 0-2 and maintain a Room Leader role for the age group 1-2 years.

The Lead Educator will report to the relevant Early Childhood Service Director and is responsible for the daily implementation and evaluation of the curriculum and program in the designated educational space of the relevant Early Childhood Service.

You will build and maintain positive relationships with children and families, and the local community. Most importantly, you will make a difference to the lives of children in our care.

About You:

You will be a facilitator of continuous improvement, with knowledge of current best practice. You will be an engaged and enthusiastic leader. It is essential that you hold:

  • A minimum of a Diploma of Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading a team of educators.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders with demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Working with Vulnerable People card.
  • Current first aid/asthma anaphylaxis training.
