About the Role

This role is responsible for operational support and advice to staff and managers on a diverse range of human resource matters and works closely with the People and Capability Director. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Recruitment and selection, from advertising to onboarding, including coordinating interviews and running organisational inductions for all new staff
  • Provide general guidance and support to staff and managers on employment relations matters including interpretation of our Enterprise Agreement
  • Assist with investigations and disciplinary processes where required
  • Monitor work health and safety practices and manage worker’s compensation claims including return to work plans.
  • Review and improve on HR processes in day-to-day operations including maintaining data integrity in our HRIS (Aurion).
  • Promote and champion an inclusive and diverse workplace culture and ensure all staff are valued and recognised for their qualities, ideas and perspectives
  • Ensure system integrity within our HRIS (Aurion) and provide HR administration as and when required to assist the team

About You

The role requires excellent organisation and coordination skills, and multi-tasking is key! To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Qualifications in human resource management and/or demonstrated experience in a similar HR role
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, coupled with the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
  • Deadline driven attitude and ability to maintain high levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of team in a dynamic work environment.
