What’s happening in Canberra on International Women’s Day?

It’s time to rally up the girls because International Women’s Day (IWD) is coming up Sunday 8 March, and we couldn’t be more excited! International Women’s Day is a time for us each to reflect on the progress made towards gender equality and express our deepest gratitude towards the women who have helped us get to where we are today.

This year’s theme #EachForEqual focuses on the celebration of all women’s achievements and the ongoing movement towards equality. It is about how every individual belongs to a bigger picture, and how we can all play our part in challenging stereotypes, fight bias and broaden perceptions. This year’s theme is one of unity and courage and inspires us to do better to create a more gender-equal and just world for girls and women alike.

With International Women’s Day just around the corner, you may be looking for ways to get involved and to show your support for girls and women in our community. To make this easier for you, we have put together a list of activities and events happening around Canberra that you can participate in and to show your support for girls and women all across the ACT.
