Celebrating Food Revolution Day

4 September 2014

Tasting produce from our new community garden.

On Friday 16 May, the Mura Lanyon Youth and Community Centre celebrated Food Revolution Day by hosting the Lanyon Food Fair. It was a great day filled with fun activities including the launch of the Lanyon Community Garden and cooking workshops.

We would like to say thank you to the wonderful volunteers and crew at the Childrens’ Food Education Foundation ’Snack Habitat’ Snack Bus for their contribution. Thanks also to Lanyon High and the awesome students who participated in establishing the community garden, and also to the wonderful sponsors and supporters for their donations.

A special mention to Ellyn Bicknell, ACT Food Revolution Ambassador, and the staff team at Lanyon who helped organise this wonderful event.
