Loads of action at Spring Fling

7 October 2014

Polly and Liz from Lanyon Youth CentreThe Spring Fling was a great success, with over 50 young people (many of them new to the Lanyon Youth Centre) attending and taking part in the variety of activities offered. Activities included party games, a disco, a photo booth, making bracelets and flower crowns, spray painting, and the ever popular airbrush tattoos. A range of other organisations attended the event, including the Tuggeranong Arts Centre, the Australian Federal Police, Red Cross Save a Mate, Anglicare, Salvation Army, Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT, and the PCYC . Attendees enjoyed watching a performance by Fresh Funk Dance at the Disco, and many (including one officer of the AFP!) left sporting incredible Day of the Dead face-painting from the Tuggeranong Arts Centre Messenger’s Program stall. A fun day was had by all, and feedback from young people who attended has been excellent.
