24 July 2015
National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day is the largest national day to celebrate our children.
Children’s Day is a great time for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to celebrate the strengths and culture of their children. The day is an opportunity for all Australians to show their support for Aboriginal children, as well as learn about the crucial impact that community, culture and family play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child.
The theme for Children’s Day 2015 is Little People, Big Futures.
Join us as we celebrate through song and dance, storytelling, face painting, food, art and crafts, jewellery making and much more.
When: Tuesday 4 August 2015, 9am – 1pm
Where: Murra Lanyon Youth and Community Centre, 22 Sydney Nolan Street, Conder ACT
This event is sponsored in partnership with the ACTCOSS Gulanga Program, the ACT Nannies Group, Gugan Gulwan Aboriginal Youth Corporation, and YWCA Canberra.
