Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

YWCA Canberra has now opened enrolments for our next intake of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113). This nationally recognised qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment in this rewarding and exciting sector.Grad 2015

Our students are supported to learn and achieve by our team of dedicated and experienced trainers. Feedback from the most recent cohort is below:

“Overall the assessment was very informative and very helpful in our childcare practices, Daisy is a very good helper and very informative.”

“The trainer is very supportive in enhancing our knowledge in ECEC, keep up the good work”

“I would like to say that my instructor involves everyone in the class and gives everyone an opportunity to speak which helps learning other people’s experience and knowledge”

On average, more than 80% of our Certificate III students successfully find a job in early childhood before completing their qualification.

Government funding under the Skilled Capital program may be also available (subject to government approval) for eligible students.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) aims to provide students with the range of competencies required to deliver training and facilitate learning in an industry or area of subject matter expertise, and conduct competency based assessment in a range of contexts.

Guidance and support is provided on a continuous basis through tutorials, over the phone, e-mail, face-to-face appointments or sessions at the YWCA Training Unit. We can also deliver training at your workplace.

“Jess made the training very accessible. She knew the material very well, answered questions and explained things very well. The assessment is very ‘doable’ and I look forward to coming back next week”

“When I started the day, I was not aware of how the training and assessment system works in Australia. It was great to know how that works. This would help me to research more about this topic. I loved the way the trainer delivered it; she encouraged everyone to participate in the session.”

The next intake of this popular course commences on 16 February 2016. Bookings are essential as we keep our classes small (maximum of 7 students) to ensure a quality and responsive learning environment.

Our quality training programs are delivered by experienced and dedicated trainers at highly competitive prices.
