At YWCA Canberra, we care deeply about empowering women and giving a voice to passionate thinkers, dreamers and innovators within our community. We believe all girls and women have the potential to make our world a better place, so much so that we’re willing to back them through our 2021 Great Ydeas small grants program!
Since launching in 2010, Great Ydeas grants have helped more than 60 local women and girls to progress projects including establishing a podcast, launching a public awareness campaign, running empowering programs for girls, attending a conference and launching a social enterprise.
Joining us today to share her experience with Great Ydeas is 2016 recipient Ritu Clementi. Watch below to hear about Ritu’s inspirations, why she started her project The Girls Leadership Network, and what she has learned since receiving the Great Ydeas grant.
Applications are now open for the 2021 YWCA Canberra Great Ydeas Small Grants Program. This program provides grants of up to $2500 to support women, girls and non-binary people in the ACT to pursue their passions and improve our community.
