Where to celebrate international women’s day in Canberra 2022!

1 March 2022

International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8, and is a day dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, as well as acknowledging the ways we can improve gender equality.

At YWCA Canberra, we are no strangers to celebrating International Women’s Day and, in fact, each year hold our own international women’s day event where we invite members of our community to come together to recognise and celebrate the achievements and contributions of women all over the world!

Building on our tradition of using International Women’s Day to focus on the lives and stories of Canberra women, YWCA Canberra will be holding a free event on Wednesday 10 March.

A single story, a world of difference will focus on women leading change for gender equality by sharing the experiences of local women involved in advocacy.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the women featured in our documentary.

Can’t attend our event? It’s okay we have you covered!
