This International Women’s Day takes place nearly 100 years since the very first IWD protest event in Australia and 30 years after the United Nation’s Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action for achieving gender equality. Justice remains deeply uneven for girls and women, especially those facing violence, discrimination, and systemic barriers.
