The results of YWCA Canberra’s Our lives: Women in the ACT survey provide insights into the daily lives and lived experience of women in the territory.

2019 marked YWCA Canberra’s 90th year of providing quality and essential services to Canberra women and families.

This milestone was also an opportunity to reflect on the lives and future of Canberra women and gender-diverse persons.

As part of our anniversary, YWCA Canberra undertook a survey of over 1000 Canberra women and non-binary people aged 18 years and over. Due to its success, YWCA Canberra repeated the survey in 2021 receiving more than 1200 responses, and in 2023.

The results of these surveys are included in the Our lives: Women in the ACT reports, which provide insights into the lived experience of women in the territory.
