
Warm Connections
Warm Connections offers long-term counselling, Aiming to strengthen family relationships and improve wellbeing.
Warm Connections Counselling provides individual therapeutic support to parents & carers of children & adolescents aged zero to 15 years.
We also offer individual counselling to children & adolescents aged 9 to 15 years.

Warm Connections supports families where parents, children or young people may be experiencing social and emotional difficulties that are affecting their well-being and relationships with others around them.
Our therapists take the time to build genuine connections and understand the unique challenges each family is facing. We use a strength based approach and work through an attachment lens to foster healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing, and positive family connections.
In the case of a safety emergency, please contact OOO. If you require domestic violence crisis support, call the Domestic Violence Crisis Service (DVCS) on 02 6280 0900.
Please note that we are a counselling service and do not offer case-work.
Availability
We offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.
In-person sessions are available on Wednesdays at Mura Lanyon Youth and Community Centre in Conder, Tuggeranong.
Telehealth sessions are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and every second Friday.
We accept referrals from other professionals, agencies, and self-referrals from prospective clients. To make an enquiry please email counselling@ywca-canberra.org.au
Warm Connections Counselling is a free service funded through the ACT Government, Community Services Directorate, Child, Youth and Family Services Program.

Some of the issues Warm Connections Counselling can help address include:

- trauma, including historic family violence or abuse
- feelings of anxiety or depression
- challenges around parenting
- social and emotional challenges at home, work or school
Where your needs would be better met by another service, we can provide information and suggestions on an alternative specialist service designed to meet those needs.
Please note: We require both parents consent for the counselling of their children.
