YWCA Canberra’s qualified team of trainers and assessors deliver accredited courses and short workshops for individuals, government agencies, schools, private businesses and community organisations. Our team of trainers have particular expertise in working with students from diverse and complex backgrounds to achieve their full potential.
Our TRAINERS
Dr Tulika Saxena PhD
Training Consultant
Tulika has more than 20 years of research and field experience in gender equality, gender mainstreaming and gender-based violence, particularly domestic violence, sexual harassment in the workplace and primary prevention of violence against women.

Tulika manages our domestic violence support service and delivers training on:
- Bystander intervention
- Domestic and family violence awareness for ACT Public Service, community services practitioners and employers
- Workplace equality and respect
- Teaching Respect Ed, a primary prevention program for young people and school teachers.
Tulika is fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu and has a fair knowledge of Bangla and Punjabi.

Daisy Ulain
Senior Trainer and Assessor
Daisy is very proud to work for an organisation that provides culturally and linguistically diverse women, who represent the majority of our current student cohort, with accessible and inclusive training and education.

Daisy has a rare ability to truly connect with her students in a deep, meaningful way both in regard to understanding any difficulties they are having within their studies but also supporting them as a whole person.
Within the team, Daisy has an excellent eye for where we could improve our procedures and the ability to determine how to implement change in a positive way. She has led several large-scale changes that have resulted in a more efficient service delivery. Daisy is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, Saraiki and Punjabi.

Jinny Jeong
ECEC Trainer and Assessor
Jinny is a passionate advocate for the power of education in shaping a better future. Her journey in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) began in 2015, when she commenced her Certificate III and Diploma studies. Through these experiences, she discovered the vital impact ECEC has on children, families, and communities. This insight inspired her to pursue a Master of Teaching, driven by a strong desire to support educators and deepen her expertise in the field.

Over the years, Jinny has taken on various roles within the ECEC sector, including Early Childhood Teacher, Assistant Manager, Service Manager, and Educational Leader. Among these, her role as Educational Leader was especially rewarding, as it allowed her to mentor and empower fellow educators in their professional growth. This experience sparked her passion for adult education and led her to become an ECEC Trainer and Assessor.
Jinny holds the following qualifications:
- Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)
- Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
She is currently completing a Master of Education in Leadership. Jinny is deeply committed to lifelong learning and is enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and experiences with the next generation of educators. She looks forward to growing and learning alongside them.

Pip Northam
Leadership Program Coordinator | She Leads Diploma of Leadership and Management
Pip is an experienced Trainer and Assessor with over 17 years of expertise in leadership, community engagement, community services, and education. As part of YWCA Canberra, she delivers the She Leads Diploma of Leadership and Management, empowering women and individuals from diverse backgrounds to step into their leadership potential.

Pip holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy), a Diploma of Leadership and Management, and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. Her teaching style creates inclusive, trauma-informed learning environments that foster confidence, collaboration, and practical leadership skills, ensuring students can lead with integrity and make a meaningful impact in their careers and communities.
Throughout her career, Pip has led teams and services across various sectors, aligning with strategic goals and cultivating collaborative work environments. She has mentored high-performing teams, focusing on professional development and helping individuals reach their full potential. Pip’s leadership emphasizes relationship-building, open communication, and innovation, while managing complex projects and delivering impactful outcomes.

Vicki Green
Education and Training Unit Manager
Vicki leads our education and training unit and has over 13 years’ experience in vocational education and training in the not-for-profit sector.

Vicki commenced her career as a hairdresser and since joining YWCA Canberra has mastered a range of diverse roles including finance administration, program coordination, and now leads our team of trainers and assessors.
When she isn’t managing the team, responding to student enquiries, or supporting our reporting and compliance processes, Vicki can be found in her garden or running half marathons.

Dr Daniel Nguyen
PhD, Quality and Compliance Officer
Daniel has more than 18 years’ experience working in registered training organisations (RTOs) in Australia and New Zealand in a range of compliance, management, administration and training and assessment roles.

As Quality and Compliance Officer, Daniel ensures we maintain a high quality of delivery and compliance according to the VET Quality Framework, Australian Skills Quality Authority, ACT VET Standards and relevant legislative requirements.
Daniel is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
