YWCA Canberra is seeking a detail-oriented Children’s Services Administration Officer to join our Children’s Services accounts team for a fixed term contract. Reporting to the Children’s Services Accounts Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts and administration tasks for our Early Childhood Education and Care Services and School Age Care Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process childcare accounts, enrolments, bookings, and attendance records.
  • Assist with fee collection, debt management, and banking reconciliations.
  • Administer Child Care Subsidy (CCS) requirements and liaise with families and external agencies.
  • Provide excellent customer service through phone and email communication.
  • Support the Accounts Manager with reporting, compliance, and general administration tasks.

About You:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external clients
  • Ability to work independently and co-operatively within a team
  • Capacity to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements and sensitivity to client needs
  • Experience using Xplor, or the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
