About YWCA Canberra

YWCA Canberra is a respected feminist, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing community services and representing women’s issues in the Canberra community since its establishment in 1929. Today, we provide leading and innovative services to women and the broader Canberra community in the areas of children’s services, community services, housing, youth services, personal and professional training, and women’s leadership.

As a values-based organisation, and the only Canberra-based Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (WGEA), YWCA Canberra is a great place to work. We have a strong track record in building long-term, sustainable careers with excellent conditions together with a supportive work environment for all employees to thrive.

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director Communication, Advocacy and Engagement, the Digital Content Producer works within the Communication, Advocacy and Engagement (CAE) Portfolio to shape and deliver digital content across YWCA Canberra and its sub-brands.

This role is the creative engine behind YWCA Canberra’s digital presence by producing compelling visual content across social media, websites, eDMs, and print materials. You will work across multiple sub-brands, bringing each one to life visually while maintaining a cohesive organisational identity. You’ll bring a trend-aware design sensibility and a strong command of typography that keeps our social presence modern, bold, and impossible to scroll past.

This is an ideal role for a design-driven creative who is passionate about producing on-trend, purpose-led content that makes a genuine impact. No two days look the same…one morning you may be art directing a campaign, the next turning around a quick social graphic for a team across the organisation. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and want your work to matter, this role is for you.

About you

·Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio demonstrating on-trend digital and print work across multiple brands or campaigns.

·Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, with a sharp command of typography and a clear sense of what looks current.

·A finger on the pulse of current design trends and platform-native aesthetics — producing social content that stops the scroll, feels fresh, and is always ahead of the curve across Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.

· A true passion for marketing and how impactful your roles is within it.

·Demonstrated ability to produce modern, high-impact social content that drives engagement and elevates brand presence across multiple accounts and sub-brands.

·Experience publishing to WordPress websites and managing multiple social media accounts and scheduling tools.

·Ability to manage a varied workload, balancing substantial design projects such as annual reports alongside high-volume day-to-day requests from across the organisation.

·Strong written English skills and a professional, approachable manner when working with staff and stakeholders at all levels.

·Genuine passion for YWCA Canberra’s mission… the kind that shows up in every design you produce.

The right person will have

·Minimum 5 years experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio across digital and print.

·Qualifications in graphic design, communications, media, or a related discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.

·Experience with large-format print production including signage, banners, and event materials.

·Strong self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to make the role your own.

·A collaborative, can-do attitude and team-oriented approach.

·Current full driver’s licence (desirable).
